Students, faculty, and staff should connect to CougarNet, the secure campus wifi network. The steps for setting up wifi differ based on operating system and require installation of a third-party software. Basic instructions are below. Use the links below to access more specific instructions for different types of devices.
- Connect your device to the network called “CougarStart.” Do not connect to the CougarNet network yet.
- Once connected to CougarStart, open a browser and navigate to caldwell.edu/cougarnet.
- Follow the device-specific instructions for downloading the SecureW2 software and connecting to CougarNet.
Campus guests can connect to the CougarGuest wifi network for 24 hours at a time, but access must be approved by a member of the Caldwell University community. To connect to the CougarGuest network, follow the steps below.
- Connect your device to the CougarGuest network.
- When prompted for a password, enter cuvisitor.
- On the screen that follows, enter your name and email address and click "Continue."
- Enter the email address of your campus sponsor and click "Request internet access." Your sponsor will receive a request by email that they must approve.
- Once your campus sponsor has approved the request, you will have access to the CougarGuest network for 24 hours.
