If you are trying to find a  topic for an argumentative research paper try the database called "Opposing Viewpoints." Opposing Viewpoints provides lists of controversial topics that can be argued. You can find it in the list below:

http://libguides.caldwell.edu/subjectdatabases/generaldatabases

After you click on "Opposing Viewpoints" you will be taken into the database. Here look for "Browse Issues" in the top left corner and click on it. This will list all the issues in Opposing Viewpoints. You can select a topic from this list and click on it. Each topic in this list has an introductory article, articles for and against the topic, and other sources like journal articles, magazines articles and websites.
